Fun Crafts to Do with Planets Coloring Pages
Coloring pages can be a fun and relaxing activity on their own, but once they’re completed, the creativity doesn’t have to stop. There are many ways to turn your colored planets into creative crafts that both kids and adults will enjoy. Here are five craft ideas that you can try once you’ve finished coloring your planets.
1. Planet Mobile
To make a planet mobile, you’ll need your colored planet pages, scissors, a hole punch, string or yarn, a hanger or wooden dowel, and some tape or glue. First, carefully cut out each colored planet from the page. Use the hole punch to make a small hole at the top of each planet. Cut pieces of string at different lengths and attach one to each planet by tying or taping the string through the hole. Then, tie the other end of the string to the hanger or wooden dowel, spacing out the planets. Once all the planets are attached, hang your mobile where it can spin and show off your cosmic creation.
2. Planet Puzzle
For this craft, you’ll need thick cardboard, glue, scissors, and your colored planet page. Start by gluing the coloring page onto the cardboard, making sure it’s completely smooth. Once the glue dries, use scissors to cut the page into puzzle pieces of varying sizes. You can cut them into simple shapes for younger children or more complex shapes for a challenging puzzle. Now you have a custom-made planet puzzle that can be assembled over and over again.
3. Planet Bookmark
To create planet bookmarks, you’ll need colored planets, a ruler, scissors, glue, and strips of cardstock. Cut out the planets from your coloring pages, making sure to keep them in a circular shape. Measure and cut strips of cardstock about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long. Glue the planet cutouts to the top of the cardstock strips, making sure they are securely attached. Turn your colored planets into a beautiful piece of wall art. For this, you’ll need a frame, scissors, glue, and colored construction paper. First, cut out the planets from your coloring pages. You can add extra details like stars or comets. Finally, place the artwork in a frame and hang it in your room to show off your planetary masterpiece.
5. Space Storybook
